As much as many people think that Halloween is a kids holiday, I’ve found myself enjoying it more and more the older I get. Of course there’s the fun from any holiday, celebrating, being around friends, candy and drinks, the decorations, but the element that trumps all others is the Halloween costumes. Its fun to just be silly and dress up as someone or something else. Some people go all out and buy different parts of costumes to put together something of their own, and others get a pre-made costume, and others do something in between. The most memorable costume I’ve ever seen was at a party in college. I went with my girlfriend to her friends party, and when we got there, I saw two of my friends (who were brothers) wearing matching Mario and Luigi costumes. All night they were imitating Mario and Luigi in conversations, and even while they were dancing, letting themselves be silly and have a fun time. That’s my favorite part of the costumes, they help you allow yourself to be ridiculous and have much more fun.
